Homework Policy
Grades
-
Students will receive a letter grade A, B, C, D, F in the core subjects.
(LA, Math, Science, History, PE, Music)
-
The grade in each subject is weighted:
-
50% Assignments
-
50% Tests/Quizzes/Projects
-
-
The grade is based upon a straight grading scale:
-
90%-100% is an A
-
80%-89% is a B
-
70%-79% is a C
-
I try to avoid + and - however, the grading program doesn’t let me avoid it completely
Late Work
Depending on the assignment or situation late work is accepted, however, only partial credit will be earned
**This includes no names**
Homework

Homework club
-
Students wanting to stay in from the recess portion of their lunch may choose to stay in and complete or get extra help with their homework
-
Times TBA
-
-
With so many opportunities for students to demonstrate participation and content mastery, there are very few opportunities for extra credit.
Good to Know
-
Every Friday Planners are collected and stamped
-
(If we are not in school on Friday they will have that week skipped)
-
-
If they are missing any in-class or homework it is written down (please check)
-
Students also have access to what has been collected on the clipboard in the room
-
This is a good way to make sure they have turned everything in
-
-
Every Monday work is sent home with a printout of their scores, that printout should be signed and returned by Friday.
